The Audit Authority of Montenegro participated in the Regional Conference of IPA Audit Authorities, held in Skopje from September 28 to 29, 2022, to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Audit Authority for the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) of the Republic of North Macedonia. The conference focused on the theme “Lessons Learned from IPA II and Challenges in IPA III.”

The conference was attended by representatives from the European Commission’s Directorates-General (DG REGIO, DG NEAR, DG AGRI), the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), the EU Delegation in Skopje, and representatives from the Audit Authorities of EU member states (Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania) and IPA beneficiary countries (Serbia, Turkey, Albania, Montenegro). Through their presentations, they exchanged experiences on the significance and work of Audit Authorities in protecting national and EU financial interests.

During the conference, representatives of the IPA beneficiary Audit Authorities from North Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Turkey, and Montenegro signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation between the aforementioned Audit Authorities.
