The TAIEX Workshop – Regional Seminar for Audit Authorities was held on 15 and 16 October 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The following representatives participated in the TAIEX seminar: Dubravka Mihailović, Rina Mučaj Demirović, Stana Gačević and Radmila Perović.
The regional seminar brought together representatives of audit authorities from Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, Serbia and Türkiye, as well as experts from Croatia and Ireland representing EU Member States, and representatives of the European Commission (DG ENEST, DG AGRI, DG REGIO/EMPL and DAC).
Particular focus was placed on the organisational structure and human resource capacities of audit authorities; the review of annual and final reports on audit activities for 2025; the audit of accounts; and the procedure for the acceptance of accounts. The seminar also covered the most common audit findings, financial corrections, checks of double funding and conflicts of interest, including the use of the ARACHNE+ system.
Experiences in auditing the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), programme closure and sustainability assessments were also presented, along with preparations for the newEU Multiannual Financial Framework for 2028–2034, with particular emphasis on future support for EU candidate countries.
