TAIEX Multi-country Workshop on the Implementation of the IPARD Programmes was organized in Brussels, in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI), on 15–16 October 2025.
Head of the Department for Audit of Agricultural and Rural Development Programmes, Ms. Rina Mucaj Demirovic, attended the workshop on behalf of the Audit Authority.
The objective of the workshop was to facilitate the exchange of expertise and best practices between EU Member States and IPARD countries on pre-accession support for agriculture and rural development.
Participants gained insights into how to optimise the planning, implementation, administration, and monitoring of IPARD, as well as the protection of financial interests.
Discussions covered topics such as:
- experiences with the implementation of the 2014–2020 IPARD II programmes;
- best practices for announcing and setting up selection criteria for IPARD III calls;
- challenges related to the preparation of entrustment of new IPARD measures;
- implementation of EU visibility and communication requirements for IPARD support;
- challenges and solutions for ensuring project verifications, and more.
For a more complete and fruitful exchange of experience, discussions were also organised in smaller groups, allowing each participant to share and gain experiences within their specific area of competence.
